He makes me laugh

It's not the best picture I know, and sorry for all the poorly lit personal pics lately..but that's not the point of this post.
My 4 year-old had been begging me to get a mohawk and I said sure, why not. My husband said no way. I like to save my no's for when it's really important, but upon further thought I didn't think it was such a great idea (although when he was a baby we accidentally buzzed his hair off and it grew back as a mohawk, it was crazy..) I guess I got caught up in the fact that he's beginning to have tastes and opinions about who he wants to be. The thing is though he is such a clean cut handsome boy, a mohawk would've been a huge mistake...BUT I felt like I was being too uptight so I found a gel that literally says glue on it and I styled his hair in a mini mohawk and he LOVED it. Here's what he said exactly: first he bounced around after looking in the mirror and said over and over "I look new, I look new, I look new," and then he looked at me after touching it some more and said "now it looks like a man." He is so funny. I love him like only a mother can love but I also really really like him

I've got to start a blog for my kids.. ◦

:) Doesn't it make you wonder where he got the idea that a mohawk = masculine? Children always give you a new way of looking at the world.
