My Son Daniel

I started a blog for my kids a little while back and I just had to share this post on this blog too. My hope is to put all the posts, from the kids blog, in a book every year. Blurb is a great source for this..

I've been meaning to write about Daniel. He is such a little man now. He'll be 5 in June and I can hardly believe it. He is so funny, and incredibly smart, I told my husband that in a year or two max he'll be smarter than us. Here are some things about Daniel

  • He's very excited to re-tell a lesson learned (like he'll say no mom we don't that because..or if I correct him for say being too competitive he'll say yeah mom like it's just a game, for fun, not serious, it's not about winning)
  • He loves his family
  • He's a people pleaser (although doesn't really respond to strangers)
  • Everywhere we go eat he orders a hamburger ketchup only. The other day for the 1st time he surprised us by ordering mac & cheese (which he never ever eats)
  • He loves sports and pretends to love everything his Dad loves (to please him)
  • He loves his shoes. He has big opinions about what he should wear.
  • for entertainment he loves playing in the park, video games, any sport, computer games, craft projects, movies, and playing with friends. He Hates going on errands with me..
  • Today I told him Daddy was going to visit someone because they weren't feeling to hot and he said "yeah because they're in a cool place" Hee Hee..
  • I put up a new shower liner (the curtains hadn't been put back on) and he said to his Dad (who I had sent to buy the liner) Wow dad looks great how much did you spend on that ( I wish you could've heard the inflection in his voice)
  • He can read (just starting) and he spells phonetically which is hilarious
  • He is good at everything he does and sometimes is really hard on himself. : (
  • He loves Chocolate milk
  • We decided that the four of us are the Fantastic Four because he's really into superheroes and he insist on being Rafael (the ninja turtle) and we all have superpowers but we don't tell anyone because those are our secret identities.
  • He is very very well mannered and well-behaved. People who babysit are always surprised. His teachers at preschool used to say it to. (he was born this way)
  • He has an amazing amount of self-control for a 4 year old.
  • His favorite color used to be red and he wanted an all red room (Ya..no!)
  • Even though he has a bath every night, every morning he likes to put on a fresh new pair of undies..
  • He is kind.
  • He can really draw.
  • He always compliments me...ALWAYS!
Daniel is the best! Life was so boring and dim without him. ◦

Wow. A son who likes ketchup on his burger AND gives his mom compliments. Pretty perfect. :)

Gorgeous boy! I can tell he melts your heart! What a great idea - a blog that becomes a book, thanks for the linky, very cool.
