November

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow."
~ Melody Beattie ~

Things on my mind this month:

My Birthday is coming up...My birthday last year was one of the last times I got to see my younger brother, the last time was the Sunday after my birthday, he and my mom came over for dinner..he passed away on Dec 6. This makes me sad to say the least. I have complete faith he is fine now, more than fine. But, I'm wondering when I will feel "normal" again. My life has not been the same since. Loosing someone suddenly, and someone not only so close to you, but so close in age is bizarre. I've been trying to cram a lot into my life, to make it meaningful while I'm here, but perhaps I'm missing the point, because the more I do the less I feel like I'm doing...hmmm..

I want to start some Thanksgiving traditions with my family--besides buying and decorating our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving--somehow the decorations and the fuss of the holidays doesn't seem enough this year. Today we'll start a gratitude journal and we'll each list 5-10 things we're grateful for.

I have a million projects to finish--a lesson to plan and a big talk to prepare for...

I have some important decisions to make in the coming month..do I need to go back to work?(need being the operative word here) Will I ever have the chance to have anymore kids and if so, when?

When oh when will I move.

In the meantime while I sort out my life...I'll continue to blog about..well, who knows...

I have been thinking about a gratitude journal too. Something we can pull out each year. Read what we wrote the previous year and add some more.
